Bag Hardware Series: Part 3: Z I P P E R S

Zippers can be intimidating, but this class will show you that they don’t have
to be. We will demystify zipper terminology so you can be comfortable
distinguishing among garment and bag zippers, coil types, sizes and brands.

You will learn to use zipper by the yard and a zipper jig tool, which opens up
endless possibilities in decorative zipper tape and pulls. We will cover
common zipper installation methods including zipper tabs, zipper cord ends,
inlaid zippers, and zippers sewn into seams. I’ll share my favorite notions for
achieving crisp, non-wavy results.

You’ll put your newfound knowledge into practice making two adorable
zipper pouches, each showcasing a different installation technique.
