Introduction to Machine Embroidery



This beginner machine embroidery class will set you up for success with your future embroidery projects.

In this lecture/demo trunk show class, we will learn about what stabilizers to use, how to hoop difficult projects, toppings, threads, and general tips for good results.  Bring your embroidery machine and at least a 5 x 7 hoop. 

Finally,  we'll pull it all together and stitch out a greeting card using everything we learned about machine embroidery!

If you do not have an embroidery machine this is a great opportunity to explore the possibilities.

What to bring:

Embroidery machine and 5x7 hoop (or larger)

Don't forget your power cord!

An empty bobbin or one filled with The Bottom Line or similar thread

Your favorite embroidery notions, such as curved scissors for trimming or maybe you have some thread you want to try out!

You may want to bring a writing utensil and notepad to jot ideas down.

All materials for greeting card project provided.
