Embroidered Rope Bowl
Learn how to sew from start to finish an embroidered rope bowl. Using basic machine embroidery we'll embellish this beloved seasonal project!
No embroidery machine- no problem! Bring your zigzag capable sewing machine and we'll teach you the embroidery aspect on one of our machines.

Kit with rope, thread for sewing bowl, needles, embroidery design and stabilizer will be provided.
Please bring:
Embroidery machine with sewing extension table, foot control and power cord. *If you do not have an embroidery machine call The Sewing Machine Exchange, we will be able to provide embroidery for students.
Thread* for stitching design on bowl- design may vary, to accommodate all hoop sizes we will be using a smaller design if necessary, Barbara uses an autumn theme with 2 shades each of red, green and yellow
Fat quarter or scraps of your choice to decorate bowl- you may want to use something to match the thread you bring for the embroidery design.
Empty bobbin
Small sharp scissors
Iron or spray away marking utensil
Standard size clips
Tape measure
Embroidery hoop for your machine
*students using the shop embroidery machine will have a single color design added to their project for them
Please arrive early to set up your work station so class can begin promptly at scheduled start time.
Please no perfume as some people have allergies and reactions to certain smells.
