Sew Kind of Wonderful: Curve it Up
Learn contemporary curved quilt piecing using the Sew Kind of Wonderful (SKW) method taught by certified instructor Jeannie West. Jeannie will guide you in using the SKW Quick Curve Ruler to cut all the curves of the twelve block “Curve It Up” sampler quilt. In this introductory course you will complete one of the blocks. By the end of the class you will have a solid grasp of the basic skills needed to follow the pattern, cut the curves accurately, and complete your blocks.
What you need to bring to class:
● Sewing machine able to sew an accurate 1⁄4 inch seam
● Thread
● Scissors
● Sewing tweezers
● Rotary Cutter
● Cutting mat
● Straight ruler
● Pins
● Fabric: 1⁄2 yard each of three coordinating colors PLUS 1 yard background fabric
● SKW Quick Curve Ruler
● SKW pattern “Curve It Up”

Jeannie has been sewing since she was a child. She has taught adult and children's classes and workshops on sewing and quilting both for Joann Fabric and independently. She is an active member of the Calico Quilters, a Pine Tree Quilt Guild chapter, and has recently become certified as an instructor for Sew Kind of Wonderful Contemporary Quilt Designs.
