Foundation Paper Piecing with Dana Marshall
Learn the basics of foundation paper piecing with experienced sewist Dana Marshall! Highlight your favorite aspect of a fabric design or use up some scraps.
In this class you will learn the basics of building quilt blocks with precision on your sewing machine.
Originally pieces of scrap fabric or muslin were used as the foundation. Recently, the use of paper has become very popular for use as a pattern in creating quilt blocks with precise, sharp points and perfectly matched intersections.
With foundation paper piecing, a machine is used when sewing the components together. This perforates the foundation, making it easier to tear away after the block is completed.
