Make small fabrics to hold various items in the office, sewing room, or wherever you need to get organized. We will make a small one in class and talk about how to make one of any desired size. Skills include working with stabilizer, cutting carefully using a rotary cutter, and sewing accurate seams. Beginner friendly but fun for all sewing levels. Taught by Jennifer. Two class times offered; you only need to sign up for one.

Learn the basics, from setting up your space to threads, needles and tools. Ample time for hands on practice. Supply list available when you register. Taught by Rana.

You'll be able to recognize your suitcase instantly, or use them to label bins at home for toys, linens, or fabric! Skills will include sewing with vinyl and making a buttonhole. Suitable for beginners but fun for all sewing levels.

A simple small project for those who would like to try paper piecing, but don?t want to take on a major project, yet. I?ll be discussing the pros and cons of using different types of paper, and different methods. Also included will be: how to set you machine up for success, and tried and true rules for measuring and cutting the fabric pieces. Taught by Dana.

Learn how to use layered raw edge applique to turn photos into art quilts. Supply list sent when you register.

Explore key color concepts including value, hue and color families. Apply color concepts to create quilts that sing. No sewing! Supply list sent when you register. Taught by Rana.

Create a mesh (or vinyl) front bag with a handle for taking items on the go. Great for stashing sewing notions for a specific project, excellent in suitcases to make packing more organized, or take it to the beach for your book and sunglasses! Work with mesh fabric (or vinyl), stabilizer, zippers, and bias binding.? This class is suitable for an adventurous beginner or an intermediate level sewist. Taught by Jennifer and offered two separate times. You only need to sign up for one class.

Free Motion with Variegated Thread! Try an easy technique for making art quilt motifs. We will make an art quilt top in class featuring a tree, but the technique can be used to create other elements as well. This is a great one for using up scraps! Supply list available when you register. Taught by Rana
